Sew-n-Sew Christmas Party Dec.13th 2010

This year the Sew-n-Sews decided to have a potluck party & gift exchange @ the attic...what a group of wild women we have now. It is amazing how far this lil group of five women has grown over two years (the original group of gals met for a beginner quilt class - we hit it off and when the class was over - we didn't want our friendships to be - so we decided to name ourselves the Sew-n-Sews and get together every week to chat and sew) We have had some come and be part of the sew-n-sews and then have to leave - but they will always be a Sew-n-Sew! Here are some pictures from the party LOVE YOU GALS

Paper Pieced Cat

I just found this new paper piecing pattern for a cat...I am going to make it for Amy & Josiah this coming year. I just wanted to share the pattern with all of you - when  I am done sewing it I will post the finished product. :)

Christmas Eve & Day 2010

So, our Christmas eve was a quiet one...but sweet as well. Sis, Doug, Ferris, Nathan, Mom and I had a lovely dinner. Then we opened up two gifts and rushed off to SonRise for Christmas Eve service. (I will post the service on youtube soon) After service we had a cookie and a nice time chatting with Gunnar. (old family friend - not that YOU are old Gunnar LOL) We came home through the dark of Christmas Eve night to a home filled with Christmas cheer. We had some dessert and then settled in for opening up gifts.

Sis excited about the family history book I created for her
It's just not Christmas (for Doug) without a box of these
 Thanks Bells!
The wall hanging I designed & made for Mom
This is a tapestry that my Dad bought while in the Army...we had it professionally framed and are so pleased with the results...and now we know it is safe - which feels good!

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Season this year.

Our Family Christmas (December 5th 2010)

This year our Family Christmas was on December 5th (Since this year is our "in-law" Christmas - where we all scatter around the USA to be with our in-law family s) So we had our family Christmas early....we decided not to do the annual gift exchange or our manger - but we did do dinner - ornament exchange - pickle hunt -

Here are some pictures from that night :)
